There are two important things to keep in mind when considering Spam filtering software. 

1. The most important is of course, "Is it compatible with your email program?". If you use a POP3 email program like Outlook or Eudora most if not all Spam filtering software is compatible. If however you use Hotmail (a web based email) or other free email like Yahoo you need to check if they don't already offer some type of Spam filtering software or be extra careful when purchasing a program to make sure it is compatible first.
